Photography Stuff and A Quick Card

Well, it has been forever since I posted any photography stuff here, so I thought I'd do a quick post. Since cutting back to only weddings/seniors/bridals I haven't had much to share, but I had a wonderful time doing senior sessions for these two lovely ladies, so I thought post a few. We took these over at the Mercer Botanic Gardens, which despite the drive, is by far my favorite location for shoots of this type.

There are endless possibilities for backdrops, and they change the flowers out regularly so you always have different color choices...I love it there!
Hopefully I'll get to take a few seniors there next year as well!

Last, here is a quick card I did as part of my DT assignment for scrapbooks.com. The papers are all Pink Paisley and the letters are by Jenni Bowlin.

Have a great weekend!

New Layouts...and other stuff...

Whew...sorry for the long break between posts, it has been crazy busy here as it always is towards the end of the school year. We have had several projects going on at once and therefore the blog had to take a back seat for a while. Thankfully, that is all past now and we are looking forward to the fun and diversion that Summer vacation will bring! We may start a little bit early with a beach trip on Monday--or we might just hang out around the house and do nothing but relax--either way it will be a nice change from the break neck pace we seemed to have had around here lately!

Anyhow, here are a couple of layouts I did for Scrapbooks.com this month. The first one here is my favorite and I've been holding on to the title/kite concept for just the right photo and papers. I felt the Basic Grey Max and Whiskers line was just what this idea needed and this is the result:

The tail on the kite is made from some very old Waxy Flax, pinned down with bits of Pink Paisley tape--twisted in the middle to look like they are tied on.

On this one I knew I wanted to get down some journaling about Spencer's lack of Speech development so I saved lots of space for my text amongst these adorable papers by Pink Paisley. And I have to say--I love these photos of my sweet little guy:

And that is it for today, but I have some cards and an additional layout to post soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

New Sketch

New sketch for today...and I'm afraid not much else. I've been super busy with a couple of non-scrapbook related projects. Hopefully that will change tonight though, as I may have a few hours to play with some new Basic Grey I ordered :)

Enjoy this new sketch and be sure to check out all my others on my sketch page. Just look for the link over on the left side.

Sketch  #41

As always thanks for stopping by!
